Kim & Pete, Union Bluff Hotel – York, ME

Joining together two people in one marriage is a grand event but joining together two families is truly something to be remembered. Kim and Pete were a beautiful couple who each brought two lovely children into their new marriage with them. Kim prepared for her gorgeous outdoor wedding of blue and white at the Union Bluff Hotel in York, Maine. One of the most wonderful memories that we have about the day is when Kim’s grandmother put her jewelry on her, it was a proud moment for both of them and brought a great blessing to the entire day. Before Kim and Pete met at the altar they had a reveal in front of their family and bridal party, they greeted one another with a hug that displayed that their marriage was based not only in love but also in the deep bond of friendship – with Kim’s son looking on with a face that’s worth a lifetime of memories. After the family was brought together, the ceremony began with as much love and anticipation as it had started. As an expression of union, the couple took part in a sand ceremony to symbolize not only the blending of themselves in marriage but also of their families. One of the most precious moments we have ever witnessed was when Kim’s son kept filling the jar even though it was already full of sand. This ceremony amazing to witness because it truly captured the essence of family and the love that had brought Kim and Pete together. At the reception, Kim and Pete danced – but not just any dance; they had one choreographed! (Bravo Pete, not many men are that skilled!) The reception that followed was one of love and admiration for the new couple and family that had just been created. The maid of honor and the best man toasted the couple with heartfelt speeches that left us unequivocally moved and very grateful to be a part of Kim and Pete’s wedding day.
